Inspired by the Group of Seven and their illustrative sense of design and composition, her Canadian vision is luminescent and well planned. She finds beauty in the collective memory, the romantic places we have all been.
Her atmospheric paintings of west coast landscapes, contemporary florals or aviation capture the viewer emotionally. Her technical interest in painting is expressed in many subjects as she pursues the beauty of light, and gestural expression of our romantic memories.
Her contemporary work is graphic, expressive, with depth and range. Moody skies in bold quiet tones contrast colorful whimsical settings of backlit trees under layers of varnish. Her careers in art direction, graphic design and illustration inform her work with pop culture, trends and the needs of the viewer. Her personable and prolific style has made her a favorite west coast artist. She teaches her impressionistic style in private workshops, contributes to charities, and is a member of the national arts group Night of Artists.
Born in Chile, Karen Lorena Parker grew up in Calgary, and currently resides on the west coast.
She is represented in Vancouver, New York.

How the BremerPark site works
Find "new work" or "originals available" in Quicklinks menu and flip through pages of original artwork. Search by collection (cloudscape, contemporary florals), subject (tree, animals, poppy), or color (red, beige, lime), style, size, mood, commissions, murals, sold, color palette...endless! Narrow your search with combinations ( storm tree red). There are listings of keywords on each page, and when you select an image, there is a more specific list related to your image. Search for more in the same collection, or style.

Giclees and Prints
Giclees are high quality prints on canvas, or watercolor paper. They are made using the finest quality archival inks. BremerPark Giclees are a limited edition of ten. Each one is an artists proof, as each one is uniquely embellished by the artist. Numbered and signed, these are an extension of the Parker's digital techniques and talents in mixed media.
BremerPark uses the term Prints to mean images printed on paper, both giclees and prints have the convenience of any size or color adjustments.
